Paulus Zacharia wanted an S2000 since he was young. About three years ago, Zacharia traded in his Mitsubishi Evolution 7 for the 2000 Honda S2000 you see here. Peta Psaras' VE Wagon started its life as a personal work vehicle. A little bit of engine work, such as cams, lifters, and springs, was completed in order to give the wagon some extra power, but the lifters gave out after a few months, doing a lot of damage. Psaras took this opportunity to start new, and go all-out this time around, building a seriously powerful engine for her now-show-ready Commodore.

Ash Killard's 2001 Mazda RX-7, with its "YES12A" plate, is so much more than a car to him. The YES12A plate was originally on his mother's 1982 RX-7. When she became terminally ill in 2010, Killard made a pledge to her that he and his father would restore her old RX-7 for her. Tragedy struck when the build was nearing completion, and Killard was rear-ended by a drunk driver, totalling the car. Killard and his father bought the wrecked car, and started over. Unfortunately his father passed away before it could be completed.

After experiencing such devastating losses, Killard decided he would focus his energy on his own RX-7, the 2001 you see here. He bought the car stock, and the energy he put into the build has exploded into what you see today. "This car is the complete package with no corners having been cut and it gives me ultimate satisfaction driving it whether it be on the track, street or to meets," he says. "Knowing the plates and my parents are part of the build makes it that much more rewarding."

Eric Hong bought the 2012 Nissan Murano in December of 2012. His daughter was just born and he needed a bigger vehicle. Even with it being a Murano, Hong couldn't help himself with adding some modifications to it. "I wanted to try something different than others," Hong mentions, "a slammed SUV was my idea!" The Murano's first setup included RS-R lowering springs with 20-inch Work Gnosis GS1 wheels. With this setup, Hong's goals weren't quite achieved yet. "It's really difficult to find parts for my car as it's not as popular as others," Hong states. An custom air suspension was made from AirREX for the Murano, and by this time, along with two friends, Hong opened Xconcept Motorsport for business and became the official distributor for Avant Garde wheels in Australia and New Zealand. In order to achieve the best fitment as well as promoting their business, Hong chose Avant Garde for his next setup.

The Murano does catch a lot of attention, including unwanted attention from the police. In its current form, Hong mentions that the 22x10 wheels and air suspension has been detected quite a few times from police. But like many automotive enthusiasts, it doesn't stop Hong from doing what he loves.

Registered Tuner Battlegrounds #TBGLIVE competitors for the 2018 Canadian International Autoshow. Those interested have until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2018, to enter. Then, all competitors will battle it out over six stages to be crowned the 2018 Tuner Battlegrounds' AutoShow Champion.

In Stage 1, which ends at midnight Jan 18, all except the top 32 vote earners will be eliminated. Stage 2, which ends Jan. 25, will see another 16 entries gone in head-to-head battles. From then until the last day of the AutoShow, Feb. 25, four more eliminations will determine one Grand Champion.

All voting will be done online until only the final eight remain. The finalists’ cars will be on display at the AutoShow, beginning on opening day, Feb. 16, and everyone - the automobile enthusiast community, car fans, show-goers and friends and families of the contestants - will be able to vote for their favourite.
