"The front aero setup is my favourite modification! It might not be as perfectly built as a genuine Voltex or a Nismo component but it was build with my hands and that is what it's all about! Looks tough and rugged, causes a lot of stir, controversy and turns every head when it arrives at the scene. The custom aero is the Trackready signature for my GT-R, its a way to express my passion for cars and my hard work and dedication put into building this car."

It all started after owning an old Mazdaspeed3 that Connaugh McElligott fell in love with hatches but decided he wanted to get something AWD. "I saved up for about 2 years and in early 2016 I made the trip up with a mate to Sydney and picked up my black beauty completely stock, standard with super low km, 2008 Subaru Impreza STI," recollects McElligott. "I've always had a thing for adding little modifications just to make my cars feel more like my own."

Watching the guys in the States progress and push the boundaries on their Subies inspired McElligott to follow suit and go for something not many people in Australia try and do with "rally cars". "Within owning it for a month it was already on bags and the works were on their way," states McElligott. He didn't want to make his build look like he was just copying what people were doing in States, "I just wanted to make something different and not something you see everyday in Australia and especially in Canberra, where I'm from." McElligott had a lot of friends help him with just about everything that's been put on the car especially early on. But as of late, Marcus from JDM Accessories has always been there to provide McElligott with not only parts and super competitive prices but was always there to help him out with any questions he had regarding fitment, or whatever he threw at him. Additonally, Daniel from Marko Body Repairs pulled through with an awesome new paint in such a short time frame and helped McElligott with any small issues he's run into, both in body and mechanical.

Paul In purchased his first car, the 2000 Nissan Silvia S15 Autech, when he turned 18 years old. The majority of the past on the S15 are aftermarket bolt-ons at the moment as In is still on my P's until 2018. Installation of the parts were performed by In with the occasional help from his mates on weekends. Inspiration for the build comes from the styling in the stance community - low, deep-dish wheels and negative camber.

Nimesh Mehra had his 2007 BMW 130i handed down to him from his parents. Even though he really wanted a Japanese car, he slowly fell in love with the Bimmer. Using the unique platform as a starting point for a unique look, he has had to think outside of the box in order to make up for the lack of aftermarket support, and he seems to be doing a damn good job.

JJ Zedler picked up his 1997 Nissan 200SX (a.k.a. 240SX in North America) completely stock. He loved the shape of the S14 Kouki, and couldn't resist getting one for himself, but he wanted to make more power than the factory engine was willing to dish out reliably. The solution to his problem was to swap in an RB26 from the R34 Skyline GT-R. Today, that engine is making more than 700 horsepower!

Subcategories

Registered Tuner Battlegrounds #TBGLIVE competitors for the 2018 Canadian International Autoshow. Those interested have until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2018, to enter. Then, all competitors will battle it out over six stages to be crowned the 2018 Tuner Battlegrounds' AutoShow Champion.

In Stage 1, which ends at midnight Jan 18, all except the top 32 vote earners will be eliminated. Stage 2, which ends Jan. 25, will see another 16 entries gone in head-to-head battles. From then until the last day of the AutoShow, Feb. 25, four more eliminations will determine one Grand Champion.

All voting will be done online until only the final eight remain. The finalists’ cars will be on display at the AutoShow, beginning on opening day, Feb. 16, and everyone - the automobile enthusiast community, car fans, show-goers and friends and families of the contestants - will be able to vote for their favourite.
